Panel Test Technician

Trant Engineering Limited is an Engineering & Construction company with offices and projects throughout the UK and Overseas. We have a number of different divisions, including; Energy, Defence, Water, International, Process and Control & Automation

Te-Tech design, custom build and install a wide range of high quality control panels, motor control centres (MCC’s) and automation systems, offering conventional, intelligent and withdrawable systems with outstanding reliability and functionality.  

We are currently looking for a test technician to join our workshop based near Totton, Southampton.   

As part of a team building control panels predominantly for the water, power and petrochemical industries, you will be responsible for testing and verifying outputs of control panels against design schematics including fault finding, diagnosis and repair.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Ability to read instructions, schematics and technical drawings
  • Experience of loom wiring, panel build soldering and machine wiring
  • Maintenance, fault finding and repair of MCCs / control panels
  • Be confident working to production deadlines with a can-do attitude
  • Have a good standard of written and spoken English
